Description
The Mind is more than just a game. It is an experiment, a journey, a team experience in which you cannot exchange information, yet you will become one and beat all the levels of the game.More precisely, the deck contains cards numbered from 1 to 100, and during the game you try to complete 12, 10 or 8 levels with 2, 3 or 4 players. On each level, every player receives a hand of cards equal to the level number: one card on level 1, two cards on level 2, and so on. Together you must play these cards onto a single discard pile in the middle of the table in ascending order, but you may not communicate with each other in any way about which cards you hold. You simply stare into each other's eyes and, when you feel the time is right, play your lowest card. If nobody has a card lower than the one you played, great – the game continues! If someone did, all players discard face up all cards lower than the one you played, and you lose one life. You start the game with a number of lives equal to the number of players. Lose all your lives and you lose the game. You also start with one shuriken, and if everyone wants to use a shuriken, each player discards their lowest card face up, giving everyone information and bringing you closer to completing the level. As you complete levels, you may receive a reward in the form of a shuriken or an extra life. Complete all the levels and win!For an extra challenge, play The Mind in extreme mode, in which all played cards go onto the pile face down. You don't look at the played cards until the end of the level, when you lose lives for incorrectly played cards.
