Splendor (Slovenian edition)

Description

Splendor is a game of token collecting and card development. Players are Renaissance merchants trying to buy gem mines, means of transport and shops – all to gain the most prestige points. If you're wealthy enough, you might even be visited by a noble, which will of course increase your prestige even further.On your turn, you can take tokens (gems), buy and place a card, or reserve a card. If you collect tokens, you take either three different types of tokens or two tokens of the same type. If you buy a card, you pay its cost in tokens and add it to your play area. If you want to reserve a card – to make sure you get it or, why not, so your opponents don't – you place it face down in front of you to build later; this costs you a turn, but you also get gold in the form of a joker token, which you can use as any gem.Every card you buy increases your wealth, as it gives you a permanent gem bonus for later purchases, and some cards also give you prestige points. To win the game, you must reach 15 prestige points before your opponents.
