Description
In Evergreen, your goal is to build a lush ecosystem by planting seeds, growing trees and placing other natural elements on your planet, trying to make it the greenest and most fertile of all.You choose biome cards from a shared pool to decide which area of your planet you will develop in a round. The cards not chosen make those regions more fertile. If you want to create a huge forest, you'll want to grow trees, plant shrubs and place lakes, while also using the power of nature to gain extra actions. Ideally, you can concentrate your trees in the most fertile areas, but without them shading each other, as you also want them to gather as much light as possible.Key features:
- Goal: in Evergreen, players strive to create the lushest and most fertile ecosystem by planting seeds, growing trees and adding other natural elements to their planet, aiming to make it the greenest of all.
- Biome card selection: each round, players choose biome cards from a shared pool to decide which area of their planet to develop. Unchosen cards increase the fertility and value of the regions, adding strategic depth to card selection.
- Ecosystem development: players work on growing trees, planting shrubs and placing lakes to build extensive forests. Harnessing the power of nature provides extra actions that increase players' strategic options.
- Light-gathering strategy: to maximise their points, players must carefully place their trees to avoid shading while gathering as much light as possible, balancing tree concentration and light exposure.
- Interactive and dynamic gameplay: Evergreen encourages players to adapt to changing conditions and their opponents' moves, making strategic decisions that affect the overall fertility of their planet and creating a highly interactive and dynamic gaming experience.
