Description
In February 1895, London woke to a loud bang. A great column of smoke showed that a bomb had exploded in Parliament. The security forces were immediately mobilised and arrested a suspicious young worker nearby.Mycroft Holmes, who was in the service of the Crown, was tasked with investigating the young worker's connection to anarchist groups. He thought it would be an easy task he could handle from the comfort of his armchair at the Diogenes Club – until he heard the worrying news: his younger brother Sherlock Holmes, the consulting detective, had been hired by the boy's parents to prove the innocence of their son, whom he believes to be the scapegoat of a dark conspiracy. For the first time, the sharpest minds in London face each other. Was the young worker involved in this terrible attack, or is he merely the scapegoat of a dark conspiracy? The board game Holmes: Sherlock vs. Moriarty lasts seven turns (days of investigation). At the start of each day, well-known characters from Arthur Conan Doyle's books appear in London. Each player has three action tokens that move from one character to another to use their special abilities, as a player can never have two tokens on the same character. A character must therefore be freed before it can be used again. Each character's abilities let you gain evidence cards or investigation tokens in several ways. The game has great replay value, as it is unknown whether a character with a particular ability will appear on the board on day 1 or on the last day, day 7. Every game is different!
