Who will rule the South Seas? Two Kahuna – ancient sorcerers of the Pacific – vie for dominance over an archipelago of twelve small islands. Using their magic and wisdom, they fight for control of the islands. They wait impatiently for the cards fate has dealt them. But when the time is right, they set out to seize one, two or even more islands and try to gain the upper hand. At the mercy of the magical powers of the South Seas, they soon realise that even the best magic is no good without strategy.Kahuna is a two-player board game played on a board with twelve islands. Using cards, players build bridges between these islands or remove their opponent's bridges. If you build the majority of bridges around an island, you place one of your marker stones on it and also remove all of your opponent's bridges to that island – which may cause your opponent to lose their majority of bridges on a neighbouring island and lose their marker stone there too.The game is played over three rounds. A round ends when all the cards from the middle have been used. Points are then awarded for islands with a marker stone. The game can also end earlier if one player has no bridges left on the board.
