The true King of the Monsters is finally here! Toho’s legendary monsters clash in an epic battle for the title of the sole King of Tokyo. Take on the role of Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Hedorah, Rodan, Mothra or Mechagodzilla.
Players already familiar with the original game will be thrilled by the new mechanic: Event cards, which affect all monsters. And for true fans, Evolution cards are of course included too!
King of Tokyo: Godzilla is a family game featuring dice, cards and relentless attacks, inspired by the mechanics of the game ‘Jamb’. In this game, you take control of Toho’s legendary monsters as they wreak havoc across Tokyo and battle each other to prove who is the city’s one true ruler.
At the start of each turn, you roll six dice displaying six different symbols: 1, 2 or 3 victory points, energy, healing and attack. Over three consecutive rolls, you decide which dice to keep and which to discard in order to score victory points, gain energy, restore health or attack your rivals, proving to them that Tokyo is your territory.
The boldest player will occupy Tokyo and earn extra victory points as a result, but they cannot heal within the city and must face all the other monsters on their own!
The game is spiced up by special cards, which you buy with energy and which offer permanent or temporary effects – such as growing a second head for an extra die, body armour, a laser beam and much more... This makes it one of the most explosive games of the year!
To win, you must collect 20 victory points or be the only monster left standing when the battle ends.
