Monkey Palace is a jungle-themed game that combines light strategy with cooperative and competitive elements. Its simple rules and strategic options make it suitable for both beginners and experienced players.On their turn, each player uses a mix of bricks to build a staircase, which must have ascending steps ending in an arch. When a player completes a staircase, they place a decorative brick on top, which determines the colour of the cards they can take. Each arch earns Monkey points, which the player spends to gain Monkey cards in a particular colour. These let the player gain extra bricks, Banana points or special bonuses.The game also includes 3 types of Trophy cards: Monkey, Butterfly and Frog. These let players collect extra points. For example, if a player adds a gold decorative brick, they can win the Monkey trophy, which lets them block opponents. When all the building bricks run out, the game ends. The winner is the player with the most Banana points.
