Description
In
Piepmatz, you cleverly play bird cards from your hand to collect seeds and attract birds from the feeder to you. Seeds and mated pairs of birds in your collection are worth points. Single birds score only if you have the majority of their species. Play is the same for all player counts. On your turn, you go through these three phases in order:
- Play a card – choose a bird card from your hand and place it face up at the chosen feeder.
- Resolve effects – compare the birds on the ground with the bird at the feeder. If the birds are stronger, take a seed card and add the bird to your collection.
- Draw new cards – refill your hand.
The end of the game is triggered when you must draw a card but can't. Play continues until all players have had the same number of turns. Each player now chooses two bird cards from their hand and discards them face down. When all players have done this, add the remaining two bird cards to your collection and start scoring. You score points for seeds, mated pairs of birds and species majorities. Whoever has the most points wins.
