Risk Legacy

Description

Risk Legacy introduces a rare concept in board games: campaign play. At its core, the game, especially at the start, plays very much like regular Risk, but with some changes. Players control countries or regions on a world map and, through simple combat (where players roll dice to determine who loses units in battle), try to eliminate all opponents from the board or control a certain number of "red stars", also known as victory points (VP).What's different about Risk Legacy is that the game changes over time, based on the outcome of each game and the players' various decisions. In each game, players choose one of five factions; each faction has unique pieces and, more importantly, different rules. At the start of the first game, each of these factions gains the ability to break one minor rule, such as the ability to move units at any time during their turn instead of only at the end.
