Description
The classic almost everyone knows, in a pocket edition. In Connect 4 Grab & Go you take turns dropping yellow and red discs into the grid. The first to line up four of their discs in a row wins. The game is small and after playing you store the discs right in the two columns at the side of the grid, so you can take it anywhere.
How to play Connect 4 Grab & Go
Each player picks a colour, and the youngest goes first. On your turn, drop one of your discs into any slot at the top of the grid and it falls to the bottom of the column. You take turns until someone connects four discs of their colour horizontally, vertically or diagonally. For a new game, slide the slider aside, the discs drop out, and you put them back into the side columns.
Why you'll love it
- The rules take half a minute to explain, and the game is tense from the first disc.
- Every move is a double decision: you build your own row and block your opponent's at the same time.
- There are no dice and no cards, so the player who thinks further ahead wins.
- The discs are stored in the game itself, so nothing gets lost on the road.
Who is Connect 4 Grab & Go for
The game is for 2 players aged 6 and up, and a game takes about 10 minutes. It's easy and suits children, parents and grandparents, for travel, waiting rooms and holidays. There is no text on the game, and the rules are in English. Before the first game, an adult has to attach the trays to the grid.
It may not suit those looking for a game for more players or with more of a story.
