Description
Jungle Speed - Eco Box is a fun game where a sharp eye and a quick hand are what count. You deal cards with coloured shapes among the players, and a wooden totem stands in the middle of the table. When the same shape appears on two cards, a duel for the totem begins, and the laughter soon follows. This edition comes in an eco-friendly box.
How to play Jungle Speed
Taking turns, you flip the top card of your pile with one hand, facing the other players. When the top cards of two players show the same shape, both reach for the totem. The colour doesn't matter, only the shape counts. Whoever is slower takes both discard piles and puts them under their own cards.
If you grab the totem by mistake or knock it over, you pick up the discard piles of all players. Special arrow cards change the course of play: with inward-pointing arrows, everyone reaches for the totem at once, and with outward-pointing arrows, everyone flips their next card at the same time. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins.
Why you will like it
- You explain the rules in a minute, and then the game starts and never stops.
- The shapes are sometimes very similar, so even the fastest player sometimes grabs at the wrong moment and picks up the whole pile.
- Inward arrow cards set off a race of all players for a single totem.
- Nothing is decided until the last card: even the player who flips their last card still has to win one more duel.
Who is Jungle Speed for
The game is for 2 to 10 players aged 7 and up, and a game takes around 15 minutes. It is very easy and comes most alive with five or six players. The rules include special variants for two and three players. It works great at parties and at the family table, where children and adults play together. There is no text on the components, so language is no barrier.
Our shop also carries the bigger edition Jungle Speed Giant.
What you might not like
The game is loud, and players sometimes jostle quite a bit for the totem, so it may not suit those who prefer calm games at the table.
