Description
Mickey Mouse, Simba, Elsa, Stitch and Nemo in one box: Dobble Disney is a fast observation game in which everyone plays at the same time. Any two cards always share exactly one symbol - your task is to find it first and call it out. This special edition is bigger than the regular Dobble: the box holds 90 cards, each showing 10 characters from Disney and Pixar films, and there are 91 of them in total.
How to play Dobble Disney
You play a series of short mini-games, in whatever order you like. The same rule applies in all of them: you compare two cards, find the character that appears on both and name it. It always has the same shape and colour, but its size may differ.
What happens to the card next depends on the mini-game. In one you collect cards from the pile in the middle, in another you try to be the first to get rid of your own pile, and in two you place cards on your opponents, because the player with the fewest wins. In the last one you look for the same character on three cards at once. Whoever wins the most mini-games is the overall winner.
Why you will like it
- You can explain the rules in a minute and start right away - everyone plays at the same time, nobody waits for a turn.
- Each card shows 10 characters instead of the usual 8, so there is more to scan before you find the right one.
- Characters from different generations meet on the cards, from Snow White and Bambi to Mirabel and Luca - everyone in the family finds their favourites.
- Five mini-games bring different ways of collecting, discarding and passing cards, so the game does not repeat itself.
Who is Dobble Disney for
The game is for 2 to 8 players aged 6 and up, and a game takes about 15 minutes. Players on BoardGameGeek recommend it most for 4 to 5 players. The rules are very simple and there is no text on the cards, so children and adults play together. It helps to know the characters by name - the full list is in the rules. The game is loud and fast, so it is less suited to those looking for a quiet, thoughtful game.
