Description
The Wise One, immortal guardian of wisdom and knowledge, has sent Demigods, gifted with the power to move the Earth, to the far corners of humanity. In Oros, each player takes on the role of one of these Demigods. Their task is to teach their followers the wisdom of the mountains through study, worship and experience. And only in the heights of the mountains can the greatest secrets be learned. As they build holy cities, the Demigods of the Wise One climb a ziggurat that serves as a timer until the end of the game. When one Demigod reaches the top, players finish the round and then tally final scores. At the heart of Oros is the unique ability to move, build, erupt and reposition land within an endlessly connected play environment. This mechanic turns every action into a puzzle of creative problem-solving, abstract thinking and ever-evolving strategy. Another important aspect of the game is the game board, which uses a minimalist worker placement mechanic. The board also maintains an action economy that develops differently for each player as they invest their gained wisdom in different action upgrades. Thanks to these core elements, the game offers dozens of strategies for players to explore, and each game plays out in a different yet competitive way.
