Description
Granny loves sweets, but she doesn't like sharing them. When she dozes off in her armchair, the children sneak up to the tray and help themselves to the treats. Sladkosneda Babica is a game for the youngest players, where every press of the button might wake Granny up and send her teeth flying through the air.
How to play Sladkosneda Babica
Before you start, put Granny's teeth in, push the armchair back until it clicks, and load the treats onto the tray. Granny is now asleep.
On your turn, spin the spinner. On a green space, you take a treat from the tray and press the button on the armchair once, twice or three times, as the space shows. On a purple space, you put a treat back and press the button once or twice. A cross means you lose your turn, and a face means you take a treat from another player.
If Granny wakes up when you press the button, you return all your treats to the tray and put Granny back to sleep. The first player to collect one treat of each kind wins: a biscuit, a gingerbread, a swirl and a star.
Why you'll love it
- Every press of the button is a tense moment, because nobody knows when Granny will wake up.
- When Granny's teeth fly out, the whole table laughs, even the player who just lost their treats.
- Children understand the rules right away, because the spinner tells them what to do.
- You can also take a treat from another player, so nothing is certain until the very end.
Who is Sladkosneda Babica for
The game is for 2 to 4 players aged 4 and up, and a game takes about 20 to 30 minutes. It is very simple and works without batteries. It suits preschool children playing with their parents or older siblings. There is no text on the components.
What you might not like
Because the spinner decides your turn, there is no planning in the game. So it may not be the best fit for older children who prefer games where they can think things through.
