Description
Five words to remember: taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza. In Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza you say them in order while flipping cards onto a shared pile. When a card matches the spoken word, you have to be quick - whoever slaps the pile last takes all the cards. It sounds simple, but your brain will play tricks on you.
How to play Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
Everyone gets a pile of cards without looking at them. In turn, you flip the top card into the middle and say the next word: "Taco", "Cat", "Goat", "Cheese", "Pizza" and then from the start again. When, for example, a cheese card lands on the word "Cheese", everyone slaps the pile. The last one takes the whole pile and puts it under their cards.
Watch out for the special cards: on the gorilla everyone beats their chest, on the groundhog you knock on the table with both hands, and on the narwhal you join your palms above your head into a horn - only then do you slap the pile. Anyone who makes a mistake, flinches on the wrong card or loses the rhythm also takes the pile. The winner is whoever gets rid of all their cards first and is then first to slap.
Why you will love it
- The rhythm of words and pictures fools you - your hand wants to slap when the word and the picture don't match.
- The gorilla, groundhog and narwhal bring funny gestures that make the whole table laugh.
- Running out of cards doesn't mean you have won yet: you still have to be first at the next slap.
- A game lasts only about 10 minutes, so there is always time for one more.
